Heidelberg Materials Benelux is currently looking for a

PERMIT, REAL ESTATE & IMS COORDINATOR

to join us at our headquarters located in Braine-l’Alleud.

 

As a key member of the dynamic ESG team, the Permit, Real Estate and IMS Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the compliant, strategic, and sustainable management of land assets and real estate activities across the Benelux region.

This position reports directly to the ESG Manager BeNe with a dotted line to the ESG Manager of the Aggregates Business Line.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

Land Management

  • You maintain, update and ensure accuracy of land and real estate databases as well as tracking tools; you ensure data compliance within internal and Group systems;

  • You define and implement land strategies for land acquisition, resale, and enhancement;

  • You act as power of attorney for official real estate documents and you conduct ongoing legal watch;

  • You serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding land matters;

  • You coordinate with Group-level real estate contacts and you prepare quarterly/yearly updates;

  • You lead or participate in ad hoc projects related to land and property;

  • You manage relationships and files related to AIS, in support of the Quenast site manager.

Integrated Management Systems

  • You define, implement and follow-up our integrated management system for the Benelux area;

  • You critically review status quo and you will propose improvements/track non-conformities;

  • You ensure internal and external auditing process, as per applicable BE/NL legislation & Group standards;

  • You are responsible for the maintenance of our internal system for compliance.

ISO AGG system

  • You drive the ISO process and certification across Aggregates’ organization (audits, follow-up, …) and ensure continuous improvement of the system.

Permitting

  • You manage the urban planning and Class 2 permits, as well as permits related to ESG AGG projects (e.g., solar panels, wind turbines, battery storage, recycling activities, backfilling, etc.);

  • You provide support to the AGG Permit Manager in managing Class 1 permits and you develop expertise in this critical area, with the objective of independently managing certain Class 1 permits;

  • You coordinate with local and regional authorities for permit applications and renewals;

  • You ensure regulatory watch and compliance with applicable standard;

  • You participate in neighborhood committees, public inquiries (RIP), and other local stakeholder engagements.

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You hold a Degree in Administration, Real Estate Management, Law, Environmental Studies, or a related field;

  • You already have significant experience in land management and permitting coordination, ideally in industrial environment;

  • You have a strong knowledge of local and regional regulations related to environmental permitting, or similar areas;

  • You are fluent in French and English. You are also able to speak and understand Dutch in a professional environment;

  • You are proficient in MS Office, Teams, etc;

  • You have proven project management skills, you are organized and you are able to work independently within a team;

  • The following qualities define you : communication, flexibility, solution-orientation, willingness to learn, stress resistance, analytical skills;

  • Mobility : the position is based in Braine-l’Alleud but requires also frequent travel to sites and meetings with local authorities.
