Heidelberg Materials Benelux is currently looking for a

SENIOR TAX SPECIALIST
to join our Headquarters in Braine-l’Alleud.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ensuring that all tax activities are carried out in accordance with local regulations, internal manuals and Group requirements.
  • Participate in the optimization of local tax activities, payments and internal reporting, focusing on tax management and optimization.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual tax returns and TP forms for Belgian legal entities in collaboration with an external service provider, ensuring compliance.
  • Prepare, coordinate and submit tax requirements for Belgian legal entities in collaboration with an external service provider.
  • Provide support during the tax accounting and quarterly closing process, including management of advance payments, in collaboration with General Ledger, to ensure quality statutory and group reporting of Belgian financial data.
  • Participate in the compliance of group requests (CFC, Globe, accounts, etc.) in collaboration with General Ledger.
  • Provide tax information to Belgian tax authorities in the event of audits.
  • Coordinate ongoing tax projects.
  • Maintain tax database, tax processes and internal manuals.
  • Act as the Tax Department's main point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize tax training and regular tax updates with the Tax Manager Belgium.

Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You hold a Master's degree in business/economics, finance, accounting, or any other related field (specifically accounting or tax). Specialization in tax law is a plus.
  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
  • You excel in verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have strong knowledge in CIT, TP, and tax accounting, with expertise in IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • You have advanced knowledge in SAP.
  • You have an excellent understanding of internal controls.
  • You demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • You have strong business acumen and analytical skills with attention to detail, while being solution-oriented.
  • You are flexible, proactive, and have a willing personality.
