Heidelberg Materials Benelux is currently looking for a

CAPEX & HR CONTROLLER

to join our Finance team at our headquarters in Braine-l’Alleud.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to develop expertise in both HR and CAPEX controlling, while also becoming the Key User for our Planification Platform (ANAPLAN) for Belgium and the Netherlands (BENE). You will be part of a supportive and experienced team, with strong opportunities for learning and growth.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

CAPEX Controlling

• You oversee the CAPEX planning, tracking, and reporting across the BENE region.

• You ensure the alignment of CAPEX investments with strategic and financial objectives.

• You monitor the actuals vs. budget and provide variance analysis.

• You partner with our operational teams to validate investment cases and ensure compliance.

HR Cost Controlling

• You monitor and control the HR-related costs (salaries, benefits, training, recruitment).

• You support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the HR and Finance teams.

• You contribute to the monthly closing and reporting activities.

• You bring process improvements across Belgium and The Netherlands.

ANAPLAN Planification Application’s Key User

• You maintain and improve existing models

• You coordinate data inputs and ensure model accuracy

• You provide user support and contribute to processes & tools improvements, towards the whole FP&A department

Your profile:

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• You have 3 years+ experience in a controlling department (industry sector) or in an audit company

• You have a strong analytical mindset, a details orientation and an eagerness to learn.

• You are proficient in Excel;

• You are a good communicator and a real team player

• You are fluent in English; French and/or Dutch

• Knowledge in ANAPLAN or SAP is an asset.
